Here at Peruse Fair Trade we try to be perfect! I check all products before they are dispatched, and keep an eye out for anything untoward. As our goods are handmade, we check the standards all the time.

You should read these terms and conditions before buying from us and we recommend that you keep a copy for your records.

By ordering products through Peruse Fair Trade, you agree to the terms and conditions listed here.

How to place an order:

Placing an order through www.perusefairtrade.co.uk is simple. Once you have added the desired products to your shopping basket, you follow a series of simple instructions to select your delivery address and payment method.

After finalising your order request by clicking the ‘place order’ button at the end of the process, you will be redirected to the Paypal website to enter your payment details. By entering your details and clicking the ‘Pay now’ button, you will be placing your order. Placing an order is legally binding.

We will send you an e-mail acknowledgement confirming your order reference, value and payment method. We suggest you keep this confirmation in a safe place in case you have any queries.


We must receive full, cleared payment for an order before we will dispatch the products. You can pay through Paypal using any major credit or debit card or through your Paypal account. Paying by credit or debit card does not require you to have a Paypal account. All credit or debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, we won’t be liable for any delay or non-delivery. In such cases, Paypal will reject your payment and your order will not be placed.

Cancelling or changing an order:

If you change your mind about what you’ve ordered or want to add additional products, the simplest thing is to contact caroline@perusefairtrade.co.uk
immediately. If your order has not been dispatched, we will do our uttermost to make the changes you require. In cases where your order has already been dispatched, please refer to the Peruse Fair Trade returns and refunds policy.


We aim to dispatch orders within two working days and will email you to let you know when your order is on its way. We use Royal Mail second class postage for all free deliveries, should you need something urgently, please ring me and let me know. A small additional charge may be made for this service.

Postage and packaging charges:

UK shipping is free, for other countries, shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.


Usually, the computer is really intelligent and can count the number of pieces of stock we have for any one item. Occasionally it has a bumble moment and might try and sell you something I haven’t got. If that happens I promise to contact you asap and either refund, offer something similar, or tell you how long the wait might be before another piece comes into stock


The prices on this website are subject to variation without notice, although we will always honour the price of your goods at the time that your order was placed for purposes of refunds and returns.

The prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.

Peruse Fair Trade products

One of the lovely things about buying Fair Trade goods is that they are largely made in small batches, by hand. This means you can get variations in colours and textures – it also means nobody else is likely to have the identical item to you! Any problems, please ring or e-mail me !
